Dear Governor Mills:
Pursuant to 5 M RSA §13083-5, I am writing to update you on the activities of the Mid coast Regional Redevelopment Authority (MRRA) and the remarkable transformation of the former Naval Air Station Brunswick and its Topsham Annex.
The Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority, a component unit of the State of Maine, is a municipal corporation created by Maine law, 5 MRSA §13083-G, and charged with the responsibility to acquire and manage property at the former Naval Air Station Brunswick (NAS Brunswick) and the Topsham Annex and to facilitate the rapid redevelopment of properties to recover from economic and employment loss as a result of base closure. The first meeting of the MRRA Board ofTrustees was held on September 27, 2007.
