Cleanup efforts are currently underway at Brunswick Executive Airport following an AFFF (aqueous film-forming foam) spill. Two contractors, Clean Harbors and Republic Services, are actively on-site, working to contain and remediate the affected areas. Both companies have made significant progress in the cleanup process. The Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will provide an update on the project and outline the next steps later this evening. That update will be posted as soon as it is available.
Just a reminder, all drinking water on the Landing is safe. On all areas of the campus, unless you come in contact with the foam or foam solution, you are safe.

I don’t know how you can say they’ve made significant progress on cleanup when the AFFF FOAM is building up in Mare Brook and heading into Harpswell Cove. You also make no mention to safety of adjacent well water ( Coombs Rd and Purinton Rd residents). I’ve got several pictures of the foam on Mare Brook.
