MRRA’s annual dinner is being held on October 28th at the Freeport Garden Hilton from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kerem Durdag, President and COO of Great Works Internet, (bio below) will be the keynote speaker. MRRA will announce its annual Innovator Award winners for small and large companies based at Brunswick Landing and Developer of the Year.

Keynote Speaker Bio:
Kerem Durdag has over 25 years of experience directing world-class teams in the manufacturing and technology sectors. He is currently the President and Chief Operating Officer of GWI, a leading ISP/telco in Maine where he is bringing the company to its next stage of growth, capitalization, and shareholder value. Previously, Kerem was the CEO of a start-up called BiODE, Inc. (in the sensors market) where he led the company in its growth and eventual acquisition by a public company. Continuing his work with start-up companies, he led Biovation (medical device and advanced materials), which was sold in 2016 to a global Chinese company after failing to sustain its growth trajectory.
Kerem has also been the CTO of a large US subsidiary of a public German semiconductor and optical media company called STEAG HamaTech and prior was the leader of the engineering department of an electronics company which went public (twice). His passion for the start-up community has led to serving a term as the Entrepreneur-In-Residence for the Maine Technology Institute.
Kerem is skilled at leading people and companies and can bring out the best of their talents and aspirations. He has extensive experience in strategy and tactics, market channel development, partnerships, mergers, and customer-centric corporate growth management using aggressive product innovation. With an inherent strong bias towards action, Kerem also serves on several Boards and is a member of the Maine Angels investing community.
