Subject: Response to questions from a prospective bidder
Below are five questions from a prospective bidder to the RFP that the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority issued for the administration of the Electric Utility at Brunswick Landing and my responses.
- I have been to the MRRA website and have been unable to locate the Power System Engineering (PSE) system analysis. Would it be possible to have that emailed or a link to the report? That would be greatly appreciated
Response: Please find attached the report from Power System Engineering on our Transmission and Distribution System as well as two power point presentations regarding the history of system, improvements made and vision for the future.
- Also, would you be able to describe the Capital Expenditures and O&M costs for the last couple of years?

- When the Navy had ownership of the system, was it designed and maintained using Utility codes & standards? I.e. (CMP, Bangor Hydro, PSNH, etc.)
Response: See Power System Engineering Report.
- Do you have any key performance indicators of the system beyond outage response time?
Response: See attached outage report. No other indicators have been tracked to date.
- Is there a warehouse of materials readily available given the lead time of some of these components?
Response: We receive requests periodically from Enterprise Electric (our maintenance contractor) to purchase items for warehousing in hangar 5 to maintain our system. In speaking with the owner of Enterprise Electric, he stated that between our supply room and his own warehouse in Lisbon, Enterprise generally has sufficient stock to maintain our system (see two attached invoices for recent purchases).
