The Maine Technology Institute awarded funds to two TechPlace Members recently.
- Field Phyto-Nutrients LLC received $203,062, which was matched by $222,074. The funding will help the company confirm the feasibility of a planned commercial scale plant to grow micro algae that can be used to make an omega-3 fatty acid under the brand PhytoCortX Liquid that’s used as a nutritional supplement.
- SteriZign Precision Technologies LLC received $25,000 that will be matched by $27,000. The company designs and manufactures perforated sterilization trays for complex reusable medical devices. Seed grant funding will help the company complete its tray development, validation testing and FDA registration.
